After their second demo, The Temple got a contract for their debut album with Skyfall, a recently formed label that went after some bands of the growing and effervescent metal scene in Portugal that came to be called the "golden generation" of Portuguese metal. The Temple recorded "The Angel, the demon & the machine" in 1997 and the album quickly spread across a new and avid generation of metal listeners that were starting to finally have their own country metal bands to listen to.
The album sold out and was never re-edited.
Some items can be found in such disparate places like the e-bay from Russia or at underground record stores in London.
